Chemical components of Qasil powder.

Qasil powder has got three building blocks,  Saponins  Tannins &   Flavonoids

Saponins (Latin "sapon", soap + "-in", one of), also selectively referred to as triterpene glycosides, are bitter-tasting usually toxic plant-derived organic chemicals that have a foamy quality when agitated in water.

Benefits of saponins

Saponins possess antioxidant effects on the skin and protect it against UV damage via inhibiting extracellular matrix degradation and antiirritation due to their antiinflammatory action. Also, in cases of acne, saponins may be used due to their antiseptic activities.

Tannins (or tannoids) are a class of astringent, polyphenolic biomolecules that bind to and precipitate proteins and various other organic compounds including amino acids and alkaloids.

Benefits of Tannins

Tannins have natural antimicrobial properties that help reduce acne breakouts and blemishes. Tannins contain anti-inflammatory properties that can help minimize redness and inflammation. For those who wish to reduce cell damage, tannins act as an antioxidant against free radicals.

Phenolic compounds (flavonoids and non-flavonoids) are associated with numerous cosmetic properties, e.g., photoprotection, antiaging, moisturizing, antioxidant, astringent, anti-irritant, and antimicrobial activity. It was confirmed that plant extracts could potentially prevent premature skin aging evoked by oxidative stress.

Inspite of the building block,Qasil powder also contain Vitamin C,Vitamin E,zinc and selenium.
